Dr. Heather A. Alvarado, Ph.D. is Clinical Psychologist licensed with the California Board of Psychology (PSY #33884). She completed her Post-Doctoral Fellowship with a concentration in Neuropsychology under the supervision of Dr. V. She continues to train under Dr. V to reinforce her Neuropsychology Speciality in 2023.
Dr. Heather graduated from the Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology at Walden University. She completed her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Texas at Arlington and graduated magna cum laude. She went on to receive her M.S. degree in Clinical Psychology at Walden University before completing her Ph.D. program.
Dr. Heather is bilingual in English and Spanish and has been under the supervision of Dr. V during the last 4 years. Dr. Heather completed her doctoral practicum assignments as well as her full-time internship at Neuro-Educational Clinic. She has gained experience in psychotherapy as well as psycho-educational and neuropsychological testing of individuals ages 3 to 90 years old. Dr. Heather continues to work with individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Dr. Heather also had the privilege of completing some of her practicum assignments at Brea Unified School District and Norco College Health Services prior to completing her full-time internship with Neuro-Educational Clinic.
Dr. Heather's interests include neuropsychological and psychological assessments of all age span. By the end of her neuropsychology speciality training, Dr. Heather will obtain the privilege of title 'Clinical Neuropsychologist'.
Dr. Heather completed her dissertation on the mental health needs of servicemen and servicewomen and their spouses titled: Attachment and Perceived Infidelity of Military Spouses during Active-Duty Members’ Deployment. She has held a professorship appointment at Mt. San Jacinto College and Norco College. She has taught many courses including the following: Intro to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Child Development, and Human Development.
On her spare time, Dr. Heather enjoys spending time with her family and pets. She enjoys reading and engaging in physical activity such as hiking and zip-lining when time permits.
