Ms. Razo comes to Neuro-Educational Clinic with more than 10 years of experience as a school psychologist. She is a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) and is currently working on obtaining her certificate in School Neuropsychology by summertime. Additionally, soon after, she aims to become a Diplomate in School Neuropsychology.
Ms. Razo is experienced in the evaluation of children with a variety of disabilities including but not limited to: Specific Learning Disability (SLD) (including specifically Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), ASDs, Intellectual Disability (ID), Emotional Disturbance (ED) and other mental health disorders, as well as Other Health Impairment (OHI) including genetic disorders, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASDs), Epilepsy, and more.
Ms. Razo has worked with children with special needs since she was a senior in high school. Before earning her Master of Science (M.S.) in School Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis certificate (BACB approved), she worked in multiple home and school settings in a variety of roles.
Ms. Razo worked for many years providing in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based therapy for young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs). This included direct therapy with children and the development/implementation of ABA-based programming. She also worked in the school setting as a paraeducator providing classroom support as well as one-on-one supportive services to students in the general and special education environments. Following these experiences, Ms. Razo worked as a classified Behavior Support Assistant (BSA) and later a Behavior Support Specialist (BSS) collaborating with teachers and other school staff to support the delicate needs of their students, particularly those with ASDs.
Since completing graduate school, Ms. Razo has continued her efforts to supporting those around her in being the best educator they can be for their students. Through team collaboration, data collection, and assessment, Ms. Razo works with the student’s team to develop goals and programming that best supports both short and long-term goals. Each step of the way, she has the holistic child in mind.
During her free time, Ms. Razo enjoys spending time with her husband, two young children, and two dogs. They are most happy spending time outdoors and they love a good trip near or far. Although family trips aren’t exactly vacations anymore, they remain the foundations of special memories that will surely last a lifetime!
